With a passion for people, David brings a life time of service and dedication to the community. Having a background in psychology, David is able to offer comfort to the families who find themselves tragically standing on the doorsteps of Life and Legacy. David works throughout the community in several charity capacities and spends a great deal of his efforts ushering in educational programming to title one schools. He facilitates a nationally broadcasted award show which involves music legends coming to Union County to help educate and also perform with the students. David's career in the entertainment industry has brought him several major industry awards and acclaim, but, moreso has afforded him experiences and situations that develop creativity which help to form Everlasting Tributes to the families we serve.

General Manager/Funeral Service Licensee
Joining the Life and Legacy team in 2019, Mike comes to us with over 40 years of experience in Funeral Directing, Funeral Home and Cemetery Management and PreNeed Arranging. He is a graduate of New England Institute of Anatomy and maintains his dual license in Funeral Directing and Embalming in North Carolina and Massachusetts. Mike has a compassionate heart for the families he serves, he carries himself with dignity and has taught the team of Life and Legacy many aspects of the profession. Mike is married to Dianne and together they have 2 daughters, Michaella and Caitlin; a sweet granddaughter Alivia Jean and new baby grandson Conner Michael Kennedy.

Office Assistant/After Care
Ann has been a resident of Union County all of her life. She worked as a professional bookkeeper for an insurance firm and then found herself working at McEwen Funeral Home which lasted for more than 18 years. Ann has been with Life and Legacy since its inception in 2009. She brings dignity and class to the staff of Life and Legacy and is always the first one to meet our families at the door with a warm smile and hug. She is proud to be a part of the Team.
Office Assistant/ After Care
Linda comes to Life and Legacy after suffering the loss her husband who passed in 2018. She brings to our team over 40 years of corporate office experience that ushers in creative ideas to our firm. She enjoys her horses; riding and camping in different areas of N.C., S.C., TN and VA. We are blessed to have Linda on our team as she is a joy to work with and a calming comfort to the families we serve.
Office Assistant
Karen has worked for Life and Legacy since 2016 and while its evident she has been a very dedicated staff member and wants to see the company succeed in helping the community, she is always bringing joy and a radiant smile that warms the whole staff. Some employees enjoy their job, but Karen loves hers and we love her! She brings class to our family and we are so honored to have her representing our brand.
Family Services/ Notary Public
Mayor Alvarez was elected to serve the Town of Indian Trail November of 2011 and began working for Life and Legacy July of 2018. Michael feels that working for the firm allows him the opportunity to give back to the community and offer comfort to those we serve. Should you have a need for a Notary, Michael will gladly help.

Family Services
Most known for his Southern Gospel Singing voice, Jason comes to Life and Legacy looking to expand his ministry. He has been with the company since 2016 and made the decision to leave his retail sales role to focus more on his ministry. Jason enjoys helping to make families comfortable during their difficult times and also making the Everlasting Tributes to memorialize the deceased.
Slavic Consultant/ Funeral Assistant
Serving to teach English in Russia in the Nizhni Novgorod State Linguistic University, Oksana found a love for culture and decided to come to the United States to help tutor Slavic Citizens, English. She joins the team of Life and Legacy as an interpreter for the Slavic families we serve. She looks forward to assisting those families as needed.

Musician
We are blessed to have Jeanne on staff here at Life and Legacy- Good Shepherd Chapel. Jeanne is available to sing and play piano for families for funerals and memorial services. Offering southern gospel music for many years across the USA, she and her late husband Bob traveled with the Speer Family for many years. Serving on the staff at PTL and appearing on the Bill Gaither Homecoming Series. We count it an honor to have Jeanne and her talented ministry available to the families we serve.
Office Assistant (Retired)
Mrs. Dottie served the Funeral Home from its inception. She maintained the books along with overseeing the office. In August of 2018, Dottie made the decision to retire to read books and make floral arrangements. Several of the beautiful flowers displayed in the Funeral Home are crafted by Dottie. Although retired, Dottie remains an intricate part of Life and Legacy.
