Wayne Allen Deese, age 75, of Monroe, NC, passed away peacefully, on Friday, January 5, 2024 at home surrounded by his family. Wayne was born on Thursday, April 1, 1948 to Rufus N and Margaret (Alexander) Deese. He was married to the late Deborah McAndrews for 56 years before her death.
Wayne was loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who served his country as a US Marine in Vietnam and was a Purple Heart recipient. He loved his family, fishing, hunting, playing poker, attending auctions and antiques. He was known as a very hard worker and was a very gentle soul.
Wayne was predeceased by his mom and dad, his wife Deborah Deese, his brother David Deese and a nephew Brent Deese. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters Tina Jarrett and her husband Cecil Lloyd, Tonia Pope and Margaret Enwright and her husband Marshall, his brothers Randy Deese, Billy Deese and his wife Patricia and Bobby Deese and his wife Janice, his grandsons Jonathan, Wade and his wife Laura, Bradley, Alan and his wife Olivia and David and his wife Rachel, his granddaughters Macey and her husband Mark and Trina as well as many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Wayne's life will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024 beginning with a visitation at Life and Legacy's Good Shepherd Chapel at 10:00 AM followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of his family.
