Mrs. Valeria Leonarde Baum Unger, 82, of Indian Trail, passed away Friday, June 5, 2020 at her residence. She was born October 18, 1937 in Poland to August and Amalia Ryll Baum. She later married Louis Unger whom she met at a church fair.

Mrs. Unger was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and art. She came to the United States in 1955 at the age of 18 from Germany.

Left to cherish her memory; her daughters Diane Armstrong and husband Lawrence and Kristine Guiherez and husband Gumaro; sons Alfred Unger and wife Christine and Kenneth Unger and wife Delores; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sister Ellie Erdman and brother Kurt Baum.

Mrs. Unger will be buried next to her husband Louis in the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
