Mr. C. Hugh "Tuff" Blanton, Jr, 62, of Monroe, passed away at home with his family by his side. He was born March 4, 1958 in Charlotte. He is preceded in death by his father Clarence Hugh Blanton, Sr. and mother Patsy Sanders Blanton and nephew Gary A. Blanton, Jr. He was married to the former Tammy Michele Jones.
Hugh “Tuff” was the most amazing and wonderful husband, father, brother, friend, and musician. He could light up a room just with his million dollar smile. He loved being at home spending time with his family, playing music, and going to his kids ballgames. He was the most talented, selfless, humble, and kind human being. His passion for his family and friends motivated him to be the great person that he was. He instilled values in his children of kindness, humility, manners, compassion, and honesty. He will truly be missed. We will always cherish the time we had with him and the memories will last a lifetime. Our lives are richer and more blessed from knowing him.
Left to cherish his memory: His beloved wife Tammy Blanton; daughter Nichole Blanton; sons Derek Blanton and Braden Blanton; siblings Beth McLamb and husband Sam, Gary "Pete" Blanton and wife Robin and Vicki Blanton and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 6:00 PM Tuesday, June 23, 2020 in the Good Shepherd Chapel of Life and Legacy Funerals and Cremations; 6525 Old Monroe Rd, Indian Trail; with the Reverend Sammy McLamb, Sr. officiating. The service is for his closest friends and family. The family will receive guests 7-8:30 PM following the service.
