Thomas Burdick Obituary

Thomas Paul Burdick, age 61, of Monroe, NC passed away Sunday August 15, 2021 at Atrium Health Medical Center in Monroe surrounded by his loving family. Thomas was born on Thursday, February 25, 1960 in Bridgeport, NY to John and Patricia (Riano) Burdick. Thomas was married to his loving wife Susan on May 18, 1985 and before his retirement was an architectural project manager.

Thomas was a loving and caring son, husband and father who played and coached on many slow pitch softball teams over the years. He was an avid movie goer and his favorite movie of all time was "Blazing Saddles". Thomas was known to have a very dry sense of humor, loved country music and enjoyed learning about native american artifacts because he had native american ancestors.

Thomas was predeceased by his father John and his only sibling Michael. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Susan, his mother Patricia, his son Timothy and his wife Erica Sheaffer, his daughter Samantha and nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Thomas' memory to the American Diabetes Association at www.diabetes.org or the American Kidney Foundation at www.kidneyfund.org.
