Sergio Zuńiga Delgado

Sergio Zuńiga Delgado, age 19, of Monroe, passed tragically into the arms of his Lord on Thursday, July 27, 2023 while on vacation with his family at Novant Medical Center in Wilmington, North Carolina. Sergio was born on Monday, June 21, 2004 in Monroe, North Carolina to Manuel Zuniga and Ofelia Delgado

Sergio was your typical 19 year old. He loved life and adventure. Gaming was at the top of his list and everyone knew he was very good at it. He loved hanging out and working with his brothers, not to mention his favorite eating spot, Moe's. He loved drawing and the challenges of his Rubik's Cube. He loved collecting Legos and playing chess. He spent hours watching YouTube while he ate. He had a very devout faith in God and his church. He loved his family dearly and it brought him great joy to spend time with his parents either while staying at home or going out.

Sergio is predeceased by his maternal grandfather Edmundo Delgado and his paternal grandfather Isidro Zuniga. Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Manuel and Ofelia Zuniga, his three brothers, Jose Zuniga Delgado, Erick Zuniga Delgado and Yaziel Zuniga Delgado, his grandmother Maconsuelo Delgado, five uncles, Rafael Zuniga, Isidro Delgado and his wife Lola, José Luis Delgado and his wife Mariana, Miguel Delgado and his wife Teresa, and Raymundo Delgado and his wife Lourdes.  His six aunts, Rosalba Delgado and her husband Manuel, Chely Ramírez and her husband José Manuel, Maria Elena Delgado and her husband Carlos, Araceli Delgado and her husband Carlos, Raquel Zuniga and her husband Cruz and Graciela Zuniga.

A visitation  is scheduled for Sergio on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in Life and Legacy's Good Shepherd Chapel .A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church located at 725 Deese St, Monroe, NC 28112. Interment will follow at Lakeland Memorial Park, 1901 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112
