Quinton Edward Niska

Mr. Quinton Edward Niska, 54, of Monroe, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2020 in the Atrium Health Hospital of Monroe. He was born July 15, 1966 in Shakopee, MN to Victor and Pam Niska. He studied in Technical College and became an Information Technology Security advisor. His father Victor, Father-in-law Bill McKinney and Brother-in-law Scott McKinney preceded him in death.

Quinton was a Man of God with a true "servants heart". He was a member of First Baptist Church, Indian Trail where he loved his church family. He was an amazing husband to Michelle and an amazing father to his 6 children. He was a true outdoorsman; enjoying hunting and watching the sunrise each morning. He was an excellent cook;  master of the grill, griddle and smoker. Quinton was a "fixer" by nature but with Michelle's help he became an excellent listener and the big shoulder for people to lean on. He married the former Michelle McKinney and adopted her two children.

Left to cherish his memory: His wife Michelle; children, Ashley Niska and husband Zaheer Awan, William Niska, Taylor Niska, Alexis Niska, Hannah Niska and Justin Niska; mother, Pam Niska; siblings and their spouses, Sam and Shelley Niska, Aaron and Kim Niska, Nathan Niska, Vermont Niska, Nils and Holly Niska, Christina Niska, Suzanna and Marty Tilford, Laura and Michael Isaacson and Rebecca Niska; mother -in-law Margaret McKinney, sisters-in-law Heather Johnson and Julie McKinney; several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be 11:00AM Saturday, August 1, 2020 in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church, Indian Trail with Dr. Mike Whitson officiating. The family will receive friends 10:00-10:50AM prior to the service.
