Petr Mikshanskiy

Petr Mikshanskiy, age 64, of Waxhaw, passed into the arms of his Lord on January 22, 2022 while in the care of Atrium Health Charlotte and surrounded by his loving family. Petr was born in Moldova on Sunday, October 6, 1957 to Vasilik and Elena (Karpenko) Mikshanskiy and was married to Neomila Katan.

Petr loved life and he always enjoyed sharing the word of God with those he knew. He was a professional truck driver for 22 years and enjoyed being out on the road exploring new places and seeing all the sights. One of Petr's greatest successes was helping to build homes for his children that would allow them to start their life's journey in the right way. Family was one of his greatest passions that he lived for. 

He is predeceased by his father, Vasilik Mikshanskiy, Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Elena Mikshanskiy, his loving wife of 42 years, Neomila Mikshanskiy with whom  they have four children. Sons, Vitaliy and his wife Marianna, Oleg and his wife Olga, his daughter, Tanya and her husband Petr and his youngest son, Alexander and his wife Rima. He also has eight grandchildren who were the pride and joy of his life. 

A Memorial service will be held for Petr at the Slavic Baptist Church of Salvation, 1924 Marglyn Dr, Matthews, NC 28105  on Sunday, January 30, 2021 at 6:00pm. A funeral service will be held at Life and Legacy Good Shepherd Chapel, 6525 Old Monroe Road in Indian Trail, NC on Monday January 31, 2021 beginning at 12:00pm. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn East Cemetery, 3700 Forest Lawn Dr, Matthews, NC 28104.
