Norman Ray Kiser, age 74, was born Saturday, October 15, 1949 in Monroe, North Carolina to Loyd and Dewey Kiser. He passed away peacefully on April 9, 2024 under the care of Atrium Health Stanley and surrounded by his loved ones.
Norman was very loved and he loved life. Earlier in his life he and his wife owned and operated an auction barn and fish camp. He always loved the concept because as you were sitting eating your seafood you could bid on your favorite auction items. He later loved to do ceramics as a hobby. He loved fishing and camping. He absolutely adored his family and nothing held his heart more than his fur baby Darla.
Norman is proceeded in death by his parents, a son and four siblings. His son, Gene Harvey, a sister, Sharon Mabe and his three brothers, Larry, Jimmy and Randy Kiser. Left to cherish his memory are his two daughters, Michelle Melton and her husband David. Malinda Newton and her husband Mark and his son, James Harvey. Three brothers, Kenneth Kiser and his wife Phyllis, Harvey Kiser and his wife Shirley and Donald Kiser. Two sisters, Vicki Johnson and her husband Larry and Wanda Hagins and her husband Chris. Two granddaughters, Meghan Knight and Monica Puckett and her husband Dustin. Also he leaves behind many cousins, nieces and nephews to whom he loved dearly. Finally, he leaves the love of his life, his fur baby Darla.
A visitation will be held Friday, April 12, 2024 at 5:00 pm in the Good Shepherd Chapel of Life and Legacy Funeral Home located at 6525 Old Monroe Road, Indian Trail, NC 28079. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 10:00 am at the Waxhaw Baptist Church Cemetery located at 8213 Old Waxhaw Monroe Rd, Waxhaw, NC 28173.
