Nancy Ann Auton

Nancy Auton, age 67, of Charlotte, passed away suddenly at Novant Health Medical Center on Saturday, November 20, 2021. Nancy was born on Monday, February 1, 1954, to Charles Mark and Collie Jean (Reece) Dicus in Waynesville, NC.

Nancy was a loving daughter, mother and grandmother who loved spending time at the beach, gardening and cooking and baking for her family, especially during the holidays. She loved being outside watching the hummingbirds at her feeder. Nancy was a school bus driver for many years at both CMS and Fort Mill, SC.

Nancy is predeceased by her parents and a sister Debbie Dicus. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Ashley Metcalf and her husband Matthew, her son, Michael "Shane" Auton, her sister Jeanne Boswell and her husband Leo, her granddaughter Riley Katsaras, her grandson Easton Metcalf, her granddaughter Kori-Leigh Metcalf, her niece Jennifer Miles, her nephew John Boswell and her significant other Donald Freeman.

A visitation will take place on Wednesday November 24th at 11:00 AM at Covenant Church, 2168 Gastonia Highway, Lincolnton, NC 28092 followed by a graveside service at 12:00 PM at Hollybrook Cemetery. 302 Hollybrook Avenue, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
