Mary Ellen (Howard) Usher

Mary Ellen Usher, age 70, of Charlotte, passed away peacefully while in the care of Hospice of Union County in Monroe, NC on Monday, March 18, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born on Wednesday, June 24, 1953 in Charlotte, NC to James B and Martha (Stowe) Howard.

Mary was a loving mother, daughter, sister and grandmother who loved her family. She enjoyed gardening, volunteering at New Hope Baptist Church in Charlotte and helping homeless people by gathering food and clothing for them. She was a good christian woman.

Mary was predeceased by her parents and her mother Rosalie Williams. Left to cherish her memory are her husband E Keith Usher, her daughter Shanna Shout and her husband Johnny, her son James Keith Usher and his wife Amanda, her daughter Patricia Usher, her sister Pamela Greene and her husband Jeff Austin, her sister Teresa Habicht and her fiance Fred Shrader, her sister Bobbie Myers and her husband Loyd, her grandchild April Shout and her significant other Holly, a great grandchild Cheyann Shout and her fur babies Elton and Peanut.

A memorial service will be held for Mary at New Hope Baptist Church, 7841 Idlewild Rd, Charlotte, NC 28212 on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 2:00 PM.
