Mary Christine (Tomei) Aven

Mary Christine Aven, age 82, was born in Elwood, Pennsylvania on Sunday, June 15, 1941 and went home to be with her Lord on July 24, 2023 at her home in Waxhaw, North Carolina.

Mary was a person that gave to everyone before she would ever do anything for herself. No matter what issues she faced in life, she chose to deal with them through love and happiness. A smile was always visible and expected from all who knew Mary. She loved her grandchildren to the moon and back and always made it her biggest goal to take care of her family to the best of her ability.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, Joseph and Virginia Tomei, her husband, William Aven, two sons, two grandchildren, one great-grandchild and her beloved fur baby, Nenah. Left to cherish her memory is her son, David Kip Aven and husband Rick Williams, daughter Kandy Peak and husband Timothy, her four grandsons, Brandon Aven, Jordan Peak, Spencer Peak and Tyler Peak. Also left as her legacy are several great grandchildren.

The family has chosen to celebrate Mary's life privately and no public memorials are planned at this time. Life and Legacy Funerals and Cremations located at 6525 Old Monroe Road, Indian Trail, NC 28079, is serving the needs of the Aven Family during this time.
