Maria Elena Shook, age 53, of Catskill, NY passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 30, 2024 while in the care of Novant Health Medical Center Matthews, NC surrounded by her loved ones. Maria was born in Queens, New York on Tuesday, July 11, 1970 to Giacchino and Patricia Musso. She was married to Peter Shook.

Maria was a loving wife, mother, sister and aunt who loved being a wife and mom. She enjoyed karaoke, painting, cooking, ocean fishing and cats and dogs. She loved to make people laugh and loved and was loved by all of her friends.

Maria was predeceased by her dad. Left to cherish her loss was her husband Peter, her daughter Heather McNulty-Johnson and her husband Christopher, her sons Alex McNulty and Ryan Shook, her mother Patricia Musso, her sisters Donna Visco, Jeanine Bruner and her husband Kevin and Trisha Musso as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins among them her niece Sara who cared for her.. She also leaves her cats Kiwi, Gizmo, Bella, Tinker Bell, and Kibbles as well as her dogs Buddy and Lady.

Services for Maria are private and will be held at her families convenience.
