Luis Alfredo Barreto

Luis Alfredo Barreto, age 68, was born October 4, 1954 and passed peacefully on March 1, 2023 while in the care of Novant Health Matthews and surrounded by his loving family. 

Luis for all intents and purposes was known as a prankster and an all around fun guy. He loved being with his grandchildren and showing them that he could be the "fun grandparent." He loved photography, cars and motorcycles. He adored his family time and found the most joy in watching movies and soccer. The only other thing that brought him greater joy was listening to his favorite music or his favorite band, The Eagles. 

He is predeceased by his parents Cirilo Barreto and Aura Barreto Arias. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Rocio Barreto, his brother, William Barreto and his sister, Lourdes Barreto and her  husband Paul Lopez. His five children, Jinsop Barreto and his wife Patricia, Luis Fernando Barreto and his wife Carolina, Germania Rojas and her husband Jean, Luis Arturo Barreto and his wife Danielle and Luis Alfredo Barreto, Jr. and his partner Anna. He also leaves behind his four grandchildren to whom he literally cherished with all of his heart, Fernando, Isabella, Ileana and Aria.

A visitation for Luis will be held Saturday March 11, 2023 starting at 12:00 pm  followed by a Vigil Service at 2:00 pm at Life and Legacy's Good Shepherd Chapel.  Rev. Fr. Benjamin Roberts of from Our Lady Lourdes will be the officiant for the service.
