Obituary

“Lori Ann Mollo, age 54, was born December 2, 1968 in Brooklyn, NY.  She was the 8th child born to Vic & Esther Mollo.

She passed into the loving arms of God on June 22, 2023 after a long and painful illness.  She spent her last days at home sharing reminisces of her childhood and laughing with her niece, Carrie LaRocco.  Carrie lovingly cared for Lori during her last days.

Lori inherited a love of music from her parents.  She loved to sing and regularly ‘serenaded’ the entire family when she showered!

Lori loved to cook and bake.  Brownies and spinach pies were two of her favorites.  Her siblings will always fondly remember how much she enjoyed a ‘mountain’ of grated Parmesan cheese on her spaghetti at Sunday dinners, and how their Dad would ask, ‘Lori, do you want a little spaghetti with that cheese?’

Lori was passionate about many things.  She believed animals were entrusted to people to care for and her pets were her ‘children’.  Her dog Scruffy was her constant companion for more than 15 years.  She adopted her fur baby, Marresto, one year ago and he was near her until her last breath.

Her greatest passion was her belief in, and love of, God, ‘I Am’.  She shared her faith vigorously with everyone she met.

Lori was preceded in death by her parents, Esther and Vic Mollo and two siblings, Elaine and Vincent Mollo.

She is survived by her five siblings, Vicky Rubin, Bobby Mollo, Marlene Mollo, Michele Gismondi, & Tom Mollo; her brothers-in-law Jim Rubin and D.J. Gismondi; her nieces and nephews, Tina Jahrsdoerfer, Carrie LaRocco, Jimmy Rubin, Jason Haff, Vincent Mollo, Brian Mollo, Amy Dell’Aquila, Richard Gismondi, Melody McAlister, and Christian Mollo, and several great nieces and nephews.”

Life and Legacy is handling the needs of the Mollo Family during this most difficult time. The family has decided to celebrate her privately and no public memorials are planned at this time.
