Lindy Hattley Gordon

Lindy Hattley Gordon, age 81, of Monroe passed away peacefully on Friday September 23, 2022, surrounded by his family while in the care of Hospice of Union County. Lindy was born on Wednesday, October 9, 1940 in Takoma Park, MD to Ralph Hattley and Velma Mae (Hess) Gordon. Lindy and Joyce Ann Jacobs were married on July 11,1965 in Lancaster, PA.

Lindy was a loving son, husband and father who enjoyed antiques, woodworking, classic cars, folk art, faux grain furniture painting and scrap booking. He was employed by Montgomery County, MD public school system in the Electronic Graphics and Productions Department from which he retired in June of 2002.

Lindy was predeceased by his parents and his sister Betty Jean Cole. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 57 years, Joyce Ann Gordon, his son Kurt Michael Gordon, his brother Edward Lee Gordon and his wife Joyce, his sister Sharon Marie Gutierrez and her husband Walter, his half-brother Greg Gordon, his half-sister DeVonne Surber Phipps, his half-sister Angel Garrett and many nieces and nephews.

Services for Lindy will be private and held at the convenience of his family.
