Lance Taylor Hileman

Lance Taylor Hileman, age 50 of Indian Trail NC, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Novant Health Medical Center in Charlotte, NC after a brief illness.  Lance was born in Charlotte, Saturday, December 5, 1970 to Vic and Sandra Carriker Hileman. He was a proud graduate of Garinger High School. He was the loving husband of Melissa Coombs Hileman for 28 years and operated the B and L Maintenance Supply Company as sole proprietor for over 25 years.

Lance was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend. He was a huge sports fan. Especially baseball, which he played at an all-star level as a youth, but also football and basketball, golf and his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers. Lance was the life of every party he ever attended. He never met a stranger and was larger than life. He loved to make people laugh. Lance was preceded in death by a nephew Aaron Anderson.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Melissa, their two loving daughters Ashton Taylor Hileman and Avery Nicole Hileman all of Indian Trail, NC. His mother Sandra Carriker English and her husband Dan of Mooresville, NC, His Father Vic Hileman and his wife Christie of Charlotte, NC, a brother Joey English and his wife Renee of Charlotte, NC, a sister, Peggy Glassman of Mooresville, NC, a brother Alex English and his wife Erin of Huntersville, NC, a brother Ricky Leppert of Columbia, SC, a sister Roberta Leppert of Charlotte, NC, a sister-in-law Tricia Anderson and her husband Doyle of Medina, OH, a sister-in-law Kelly Emrick and her significant other, Jeff Clark of Charlotte, NC, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and two loyal golden retrievers, Ryder and Oakley.

A visitation to celebrate Lance's life will be held Saturday April 3rd from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Life and Legacy's Good Shepherd Chapel, 6525 Old Monroe Road, Indian Trail, NC 28079. Arrangements are by Life and Legacy Funeral and Cremation Service, 6525 Old Monroe Road, Indian Trail, NC 28079.
