Mrs. Karen Sue Martin Warner, 78, of Indian Trail, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2020 in the Royal Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Matthews. She was born Thursday, August 28, 1941 to Howard and Juanita Fay Willis Martin in St. Louis, Missouri. She later married Edmund "Dan" Warner. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her son Daniel James "DJ" Warner.
Mrs. Warner was a strong-willed, independent lady who was an overall lovely lady. She had a friendly and generous nature, giving to charities and taking care of animals. She achieved her Master's Degree in Education and taught school. Her father and husband both served in the United States military and thru that she learned to love to travel. She was an artist and loved to paint.
Left to cherish her memory: her daughterKimberly Kerns; granddaughters Alexandra "Alex" Polansky and husband Lance, Danielle Kerns; great grandchildren David Polansky and Adalynn Polansky; sister Sally Aebel and husband Jim and brother Glenn Martin.
