Karen Handy Stravino, age 47, of Waxhaw, NC, passed away on Wednesday March 29, 2023 while in the care of Novant Health Medical Center in Matthews surrounded by her loving family. Karen was born on Wednesday, October 8, 1975 in Queens, NY to Thomas and Marilyn (Lions) Handy. She was married to Michael Stravino.

Karen was a loving daughter, wife and mother who loved to travel, go to the beach, clear blue water, listening to music and most of all her family.

Karen was predeceased by her bother Thomas Handy. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Michael Stravino, her son Andrew Stravino, her daughter Giuliana Stravino and her parents Thomas and Marilyn Handy.

Services for Karen will be private and held at the convenience of her family.
