Joyce Helms Dillingham

Mrs. Joyce Dean Helms Dillingham, 80, of Lilesville, passed away Friday, September 27, 2019 in the Hospice Home of Union County. She was born November 24, 1938 in Union County to Wade S. Helms, Sr and Faye Hunneycutt Helms. 

Mrs. Helms loved attending First Church of the Nazarene in Monroe and enjoyed singing in the church choir. Her fondest times were spent with her family and friends and traveling with the church. She loved to crochet, cooking, and going out for dinner. She was a member of the Daughter's of the American Revolution and retired from Liberty Mutual as a commercial underwriter.

Left to cherish her memory is her son Sam Dillingham; grandson Thomas Dillingham; great granddaughter Madison Bynum; siblings Elizabeth Starnes, Wade Helms, Jr. (Donna); Reid Helms (Leslie), Lacy Helms (Loretta), and Betty Hunt and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Funeral Service will be 3:00pm Monday, September 30th in the Good Shepherd Chapel of Life and Legacy Funerals and Cremations; 6525 Old Monroe Rd, Indian Trail; with Pastor Rick Stancil officiating. The family will receive friends 2:00pm-2:50pm prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Price Cemetery.
