Mr. Joseph "John" Piscatelli, 87, of Monroe passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021 in the Novant Matthews Medical Center. He was born September 7, 1933 in the Bronx, New York to Charles and Minnie Lambiase Piscatelli. On October 19, 1963 he married the former Eileen Terese' Alexander. His parents precede him in death.
John served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged as a Private First Class receiving the Good Conduct Medal. He was a bit of a jokester and enjoyed telling funny stories to his friends and family. He met his dear wife Eileen at a bowling alley and they spent 57 years of marriage together. John loved the Lord Jesus and attended First Baptist Church of Indian Trail. He enjoyed bow hunting and New York Yankees Baseball team, his favorite player was Joe DiMaggio. He enjoyed spending time with the others at New Testament Adult Day Care as well as his mini snickers “Scooby” snacks, ice cream, cookies and candies. John was known at church and at the adult center for his trademark “fist bumps”.
Left to cherish his memory: his beloved wife Eileen Piscatelli; children Glenn Piscatelli and wife Stephanie, Brian Piscatelli, Robert Piscatelli and wife Claudine, and Nicole Valentin Russell and husband Andrew; grandchildren Davis Piscatelli, Stephen Piscatelli, Hudson Piscatelli, Anthony Valentin, Angelina Valentin, Alysondra Valentin and Austin Russell; and his sister Jeannette Flower and husband Gene.
A celebration of life and faith will be held at 2:00PM Saturday, March 27, 2021 in the Sanctuary of First Baptist Church of Indian Trail; 732 Fairview-Indian Trail Rd, Indian Trail.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in John's memory may directed to New Testament Adult Day Care; 2603 Goldmine Rd, Monroe, NC 28110.
