John Kimel Obituary

John Daniel Kimel age 70, of Charlotte, NC, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 31, 2024, at his residence. John was born on Thursday, December 31, 1953 in Forsyth County, NC to Russell and Mildred (Nuckells) Kimel. He was a Risk Manager for Marsh Company.

John was a loving father, grandfather and uncle who loved spending time with his family, playing and watching golf and watching NC State football and basketball. He enjoyed watching nature in his backyard feeding the deer and the birds.

John was predeceased by his mom and dad and his brother Rex Kimel. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Erin Rushing and her husband Brock, his grandchildren Shep and Sullie Rushing, his brothers Larry, Dwain and Mark Kimel, as well as many nieces, nephews cousins and friends.

Services for John will be private and will be held at the convenience of his family.
