Janis Justice Antilley, 85, of Abilene, Texas, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at the home of her daughter in Fort Mill, SC.
Janis was born in Forreston, Texas, to Lester and Francis Justice on December 19, 1937. She graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree from Texas Christian University and her Master’s Degree from Tarleton State University. She worked as a teacher, counselor, and principal for various school districts in Texas including Tolar ISD, Graford ISD, Bryson ISD, Eula ISD, and Rising Star ISD. She was a beloved teacher and administrator for over 35 years. Janis enjoyed sewing, thrifting, going to the beach, and spending time with her family.
Janis is preceded in death by one daughter, Joanne Antilley; her parents, Lester and Nolie Francis Jarratt Justice; and two brothers, Jarrell Justice and John Lee Justice. She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Antilley; son, Dan Antilley and wife, Leslee; three granddaughters, Bailey Antilley, Caylee King and husband, Adam, and Caroline Antilley; two grandsons, Cason Antilley and Caleb Antilley; two great grandsons, Charlie and Henry King; one brother, Joe Justice (of Albuquerque, NM); one sister-in-law, Edwyna Justice (of Humble, TX), and several beloved nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in her name to the scholarship funds at Graford ISD or Bryson ISD.

Burial will follow at Forreston Cemetery in Forreston, Texas, later this summer
