Janie Lucille (Simpson) Baucom

Mrs. Janie Lucille Simpson Baucom, 85, of Indian Trail, passed away Friday, March 20, 2020 in the Atrium Health Medical Center of Monroe. Mrs. Baucom was born August 5, 1934 in Union County to Willie and Delphia Deese Simpson. She later married Billy Lee Baucom who passed away November 22, 2018. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents and siblings Margaret Ann "Monty" Mills, Ira Simpson, Phillip Simpson, Sr. and Marie Walters.

Those left to cherish her memory; son Teddy Baucom and wife Bobbi; grandchildren Holly Baucom, Linsey Winchester and husband Zack, Mallory Baucom and Abby Baucom; great- grandchildren Noah Baucom-Farley and Bentlee Winchester; siblings JW Simpson (Nancy), Elizabeth "Libby" Williams, Earl Van Simpson, Darrell Simpson (Mary), Dean Carter, Bruce Simpson (Linda) and Sandy Baucom; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be Private Family graveside service 3:00pm Sunday, March 22, 2020 in the First Baptist Church Cemetery; 732 Indian Trail-Fairview Rd., Indian Trail; with Dr. Mike Whitson, Dr. Chris Baucom and Rev. Danny Myers officiating. Public viewing will be 10am - 4pm Saturday, March 21, 2020 in the Good Shepherd Chapel of Life and Legacy Funerals and Cremations; 6525 Old Monroe Rd., Indian Trail.
