James Eddie Jones Jr.

James E. Jones Jr., age 80 passed away at the W. G. Hefner Military Hospital in Salisbury, NC on Nov 18, 2022. He was born to James and Francis Jones on January 26, 1942 in Bradenton, Florida. He had two siblings, a brother Chuck and a sister Lynn. 

"Jim or Eddie" as he was often called grew up in Fort Lauderdale Florida and served as a Fort Lauderdale police officer before retiring and going into the heating and air business. Jim married his wife Willene in 1970 and they had two children, Michael and Theresa. He served in Vietnam and was honorably discharged. Jim loved to do anything military and he loved working in the National Guard as a reservist. Military was a very important part of his life.

Jim is proceeded in death by his parents, James and Francis. His brother Chuck and sister Lynn. His wife Willene and their daughter Theresa. Left to cherish his memory is his son, Michael Jones and his wife Beth. His grandchildren, Raven Jones, Katie Sapp and Hunter Jones and his wife Natalie. Great granddaughter Averie.

Services for Jim will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 beginning with a visitation at Life and Legacy's Good Shepherd Chapel at 9:00 AM followed by a funeral Service at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd, Salisbury, NC 28144.
