Igor Kotsyuba Obituary

Igor Kotsyuba, age 31, was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and after a courageous six month battle he slipped into the arms of his Savior on March 26, 2022 while in the care of Sarasota Memorial Hospital and surrounded by his loving family.

Igor, the youngest of 10 children was born on September 5, 1990 in Lutsk, Ukraine to Vasiliy and Lyubov Kotsyuba. Two months later the family moved to the United States and settled in Albany, New York. Igor enjoyed a care free childhood with his four sisters and five brothers. At 14 the family relocated once again, this time to North Carolina.  As a teenager he enjoyed every outside adventure under the sky. His favorite were biking, four-wheeling, and fishing. At age18, he dedicated his life to the Lord through water baptism and became a member of Slavic Evangelical Church - Emanuel, NC.  He found that singing was second nature to him and from the age of 15 he sang with the youth and central choirs. At 20 yrs old he moved back to Albany, NY to work for his brother Alex, where he joined Slavic Pentecostal Church of Evangelical Faith. There he met his beautiful wife, Ella. They were soon engaged on October 8th 2015 and married January 2, 2016.  This new chapter of their life was filled with lots love, laughter, and wonderful memories to last a lifetime.
On July 5th, 2021 God blessed Igor and Ella with a precious baby girl, Zoya. She was and is an incredible addition to their family and will surely carry on as her Father's legacy.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday April 2, 2022, beginning with a visitation at 10:00 AM at the Slavic Church of Emanuel located at 7541 Lawyers Rd Charlotte, NC 28227 followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM Interment will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery East in Weddington, NC.
