Harvey Jackson Hargett Sr.

Harvey Jackson Hargett Sr, age 77 of Charlotte, passed away peacefully at his home while surrounded by his loving family. Harvey was born Saturday, January 15, 1944 to Lemuel Furr and Dorothy Hargett in Charlotte, NC.

Harvey was known by many while running his painting business until his retirement. He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved playing golf, bowling and fishing. If you knew Harvey you would love him. He had many friends who have many stories about him. He was a joker and if he was making fun of you, it was because he loved you. Harvey will be missed by all that knew him.

Harvey was predeceased by his parents Dorothy and Lemuel, his son Brian Hargett, his brothers Archie and Jerry Hargett and sisters Dorothy Inks and Louise Shuffler and his grandson, Chris Lloyd. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters Teresa Todd and Chrystal Hargett and her fiancé April Cannon, his son Harvey J Hargett Jr, and his fiancé, Julie Bodine, granddaughter Taylor Todd, grandsons Cameron Harrell and Jordan Hargett and his wife Carla and his great grandson and granddaughter, Jay'C Hargett and Rhylee Clewell. He was also the proud cat dad of Peach.

A celebration of Harvey's life will take place on Sunday, December 5th beginning at 1:00 PM with a visitation at Life and Legacy's Good Shepherd Chapel followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM.
