Earl W. Hartranft, 88, of Indian Trail, NC, formerly of Lake Ariel, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2023 at Autumn Care of Marshville, NC. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Glenda (Bernhardt).
Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Harold Hartranft and Lena Bardell. Earl was a graduate of Jefferson High School, served in the Army Reserves and was a member of the Salem Masonic Lodge. Before retirement he owned Earl’s Auto Service for 27 years. He was employed by Hanson Aggregates, Lake Ariel & Walt Disney World, Orlando, FL.
Earl enjoyed travelling and camping and spending the winters in FL, before settling in Haines City. He later relocated to Indian Trail, NC.
Earl was preceded in death by his siblings: Donald, Audrey, and Bernice, his son, Gary and grandson, Ryan.
He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Patricia Hartranft; grandson, Kevin; son, Allen and wife Lesa; granddaughter, Sarah Thompson and husband Donald; and several nieces and nephews.
Life and Legacy Funeral home has served the North Carolina needs of the Hartranft Family. A private interment will take place in Pennsylvania at Fairview Memorial Park.
