Dorris Lee (Brown) Casseus

Dorris Lee (Brown) Casseus, age 74, of Charlotte, NC, fell asleep in death on March 27, 2022 while in the care of Atrium Health Medical Center of Charlotte and surrounded by her loving family. Dorris was born in Baltimore, MD on November 7, 1947 to Lee and Ronnie (Brown) Brown. She was married to the late Andre Casseus.

Dorris was a loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother who loved music and dancing. She loved going to the beach when it was warm  and to the mountains in the fall.  Most of all she loved spending time with her family. Dorris was a devout Jehovah's Witness and was very close with many members of her spiritual family at Kingdom Hall.

Dorris was predeceased by her mother and father Lee and Ronnie Brown, her husband Andre Casseus and a grandchild Caleb Smith. Left to cherish her memory are her sons Paul A Casseus and his wife Raven, Andre Casseus and his former wife Natica Smith, her daughter Leslie Dorcius and her husband Jean-Robert, her sister Patricia Brown-Hakim and her husband Abdul, her brother Gary Brown, her grandchildren Brien Dorcius, Nakisha Dorcius, Soleil Casseus, Gianna Casseus and Blake Casseus, her great grandchildren Brianna Dorcius and Pharah Rose Dorcius, her niece Swansurae Lowe and her husband Joseph and their children Sephora and Gabby Lowe.

A celebration of Dorris' life will be held on Friday, April 1, 2022 at Life and Legacy's Good Shepherd Chapel beginning with a visitation at 10:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Charitable donations may be made in Dorris' name to the institutions listed below.
