David Castillo Salinas Obituary

David  Estaban Castillo Salinas, age 41, passed away suddenly on Monday, December 6, 2021 in Charlotte, David was born on Sunday, April 27, 1980 to Juan Pastor Castillo Mendez and Irma America Salinas in Chinandega, Nicaragua.

In 2000 David met Yolanda Cornejo Cruz in Charlotte, North Carolina. David and Yolanda had a daughter Abigail Castillo, and he later had an adopted daughter, Katelyn (Solangie) Castillo. David was a joyous man who would not go a day without smiling no matter what life threw at him. His laughter was contagious and he was always energetic and full of life. He was kind, selfless, outgoing, and overall one of a kind. David was a family-oriented man who loved spending time with his family and friends. He was always a giver and took care of those who were close to him. David loved animals, dancing, traveling, hiking, cooking and building. You could always find him rescuing animals and trying to find them a home. He loved to dance to all kinds of music, especially bachata. David loved the outdoors and had a passion for building. David was a passionate and loving father, brother, son and friend. He was enthusiastic about his work and was always having fun. His friends know that he was a good person and valued each of their friendships.

David is lovingly remembered by his mother, Irma Salinas; two daughters, Abigail and Katelyn Castillo; three sisters, Darlyn, Saida and Ruth Castillo; two brothers, Juan Omar Castillo and Johnny Castillo, three half-brothers, Norlan Castillo, Edward Rosales and Maurice Zelaya; 23 nieces and nephews; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A celebration of David's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 11th, at Life and Legacy's Good Shepherd Chapel.

David Steban Castillo Salinas, de 41 años, recibió un disparo mortal en Charlotte, Carolina del Norte, y falleció el 6 de diciembre de 2021.

David nació en Chinandega, Nicaragua el 27 de abril de 1980, hijo de Juan Pastor Castillo Méndez (fallecido) e Irma América Salinas.

En 2000 David conoció a Yolanda Cornejo Cruz en Charlotte, Carolina del Norte. David y Yolanda tuvieron una hija Abigail Castillo, y más tarde tuvo una hija adoptiva, Katelyn (Solangie) Castillo.

David era un hombre alegre que no pasaría un día sin sonreír sin importar lo que la vida le arrojara. Su risa era contagiosa y siempre estaba enérgico y lleno de vida. Era amable, desinteresado, extrovertido y, en general, único en su clase. David era un hombre orientado a la familia que amaba pasar tiempo con su familia y amigos. Siempre fue un dador y cuidó de los que estaban cerca de él.

David amaba a los animales, bailar, viajar, caminar, cocinar y construir. Siempre podrías encontrarlo rescatando animales y tratando de encontrarles un hogar. Le encantaba bailar con todo tipo de música, especialmente bachata. A David le encantaba el aire libre y tenía una pasión por la construcción.

David era un padre, hermano, hijo y amigo apasionado y amoroso. Estaba entusiasmado con el trabajo y siempre se divertía. Sus amigos saben que es una buena persona y valoran mucho su amistad.

David es recordado amorosamente por su madre, Irma Salinas; dos hijas, Abigail y Katelyn Castillo; tres hermanas, Darlyn, Saida y Ruth Castillo; dos hermanos, Juan Omar y Johnny Castillo; tres hermanastros, Norlan Castillo, Edward Rosales y Maurice Zelaya; 23 sobrinas y sobrinos; así como muchas tías, tíos, primos y amigos.
