Bobby Tex Risher, 81, passed away on January 29, 2022. He was born to parents Tex Risher and Peggy Lou Balsley on February 1, 1940 in Borger, Texas.
Bobby is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Maria Elena Risher who he always referred to as “Beautiful”. He was a proud father of five sons and one daughter: Bobby Alvin Risher (Nancy), Cristobal Risher, David Lee Risher (Leslie), Paul Allen Risher (Candy), Elizabeth Risher-Trevino (Elddy), and his bonus son, Raymond Hilario Gonzalez (Sharon), as well as a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his dear brother, Harry Littleton (Vivian). Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, his wonderful step-father and hero, Alvin Raymond Littleton, and his bonus son Francisco “Kiki” Gonzalez.
Bobby was an avid coin collector, had a love for classical cars, enjoyed watching sports and John Wayne movies, faithfully watched Pastor John Hagee preach every Sunday morning, and above all, loved God and his family. Prior to his disability, he worked in a machine shop making parts for airplanes and often talked about his work with much love and nostalgia.
A private memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Life and Legacy Funeral Home in Indian Trail, NC.
