Alvaro Nunez-Valencia

On Wednesday, 12/30/2020, Alvaro Nuñez-Valencia of Rock Hill, South Carolina was called home to meet our Heavenly Father. He was born in Cali, Colombia, South America and was the youngest of nine children of Celimo Nuñez and Bertha Valencia Marin. He is preceded in death by his parents and several siblings. Left to cherish his memory; his wife, Margarita Acevedo; daughters, Jessica Nuñez Higgins, Mayelli Nuñez and Kimberly Nuñez; grandsons, Nathan Burch and Leo Charrette; Elena Charrette, his granddaughter on the way; and countless family members in the US and Colombia, S.A. 
Alvaro was an amazing and kind-hearted man. He loved to travel, especially to beaches and to Colombia to visit his family and friends. Everyone that knew him knew his love for seafood. He was passionate in listening and dancing to salsa and many other Latin music styles. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed building things. He was an exceptional husband, father, grandfather, and overall a wonderful family member and friend to have. Wherever he was, he always made memorable moments. 
A celebration of life will be 2pm-4pm on Tuesday, January 5th, 2021, for local family, in The Good Shepard Chapel of Life and Legacy Funeral and Cremations; 6525 Old Monroe Rd, Indian Trail, NC.
Family attending please bring a mask and practice social distancing.

El Miércoles, 30 De Diciembre De 2020, Alvaro Nunez-Valencia de Rock Hill, Carolina del Sur, fue llamado a casa de nuestro Señor. 
Él nació en Cali, Colombia y era el menor de nueve hermanos de Celimo Nuñez y Bertha Valencia Marín. Ahora está acompañado de sus padres y sus hermanos y familiares ya fallecidos. Quedan de recordar sus memorias; su esposa, Margarita Acevedo; hijas, Jessica Nuñez Higgins, Mayelli Nuñez y Kimberly Nuñez; nietos; Nathan Burch y Leo Charette; Elena Charette su nieta que está en camino; y innumerables familiares en los estados unidos y Colombia.
Alvaro fue un hombre excepcional con un gran corazón. Él le encantaba viajar especialmente a las playas y a Colombia para visitar a su familia y amigos. Todo mundo que lo conocía sabían que le encantaba la comida de mar. Él era muy apasionado escuchando y bailando salsa y escuchando música vieja. A él le encantaba estar al aire libre y construir cosas. Un excepcional esposo, padre, abuelo y en general un maravilloso familiar y amigo de tener. Donde quiera que estaba él siempre hacía momentos memorables.
La celebración de vida se va hacer Martes, Enero 5 de 2021, 2pm-4pm, para familia local, En: The Good Shepard Chapel of life and legacy Funeral and Cremations; 6525 Old Monroe Rd, Indian Trail, NC.
