Wilma (Wright) Halsey

Ms. Sarah "Wilma" Wright Halsey, 98, of Thomasvile, passed away April 24, 2019 in the Hospice of the Piedmont in High Point. Wilma was born in Ramsuer, NC on October 21, 1920 to John D. and Rosa Kivett Wright in Randolph County, NC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Jewel Ritter, Edith Richardson and Vera Mosely and brother Johnny Wright. 

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Randall and wife Faye, Roger and wife Brenda, Sam and wife Susan and John and wife Shirley; grandchildren Stacey Jackson, Kevin Halsey, Shannon Byers, and Mark Halsey; 9 great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and her best friend Patricia Nelson.

She was very special to her family and friends. She was a charter member of New Life Church in Archdale and was cherished as the "Church Mother". She will greatly be missed.

A Celebration of Life Service will be 1:00pm  Saturday, April 27, 2019 in the Sanctuary of Allendale Baptist Church; 900 E Springfield Rd, High Point; with Pastor Clay Cox officiating. The family will receive friends 11:30- 12:45 at the church prior to the service. Burial will follow in Guilford Memorial Park.
