William Franklin "Lin" Howard III, 74, of High Point, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at his residence. He was born August 10, 1945 in Columbia, SC to William Franklin Howard, Jr and Agnes Howard. Lin served in the United States Air Force and was a Technician for Bell South before retiring. He also owned and operated Wonder Horse Recording Studio and even recorded for Fantasia.
Lin was a lifetime member of the NRA and also obtained his concealed carry permit. He was a very talented musician and played the Guitar, Bass, piano and his favorite, the trumpet. He loved Beach Music and even played in the bands "Cut Glass" and "Pieces of 8". His major hobby and passion was Clemson University Football, he would even record games and during the off season he could be found watching them. He was a member of the Clemson Booster Club, "IPTAY".
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 41 years, Carol Howard; daughter Lara Goins (Lee) and grandchildren Peyton Johnson, Cameron Johnson, Sadie Goins and William Goins.
Funeral Service will be 3:00pm Sunday, September 29, 2019 in the sanctuary of New Life Church, 10948 S. Main Street, Archdale, with Pastor Riley Puckett officiating. The family will gather to greet friends 2:00pm-2:50pm prior to the service.
