Robert Norman Craddock

Mr. Robert Norman "Bob" Craddock, 88, of Charlotte, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2019 in the Atrium Health- Pineville Hospital. Mr. Craddock was born September 2, 1930 to James Henry Craddock, Sr and Alice Augusta Winstead in Greensboro. In 1959, Bob married the former Frances Ailene Long who passed away in 1999.

Mr. Craddock was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, 2 brothers James Henry Craddock, Jr, and William Franklin Craddock and his son Robert Norman Craddock, Jr. 

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters Teresa Elaine Samaniego (Jose) and Carmen Rhea Bicknase (Richard); son James Franklin Craddock; and 2 grandsons Brandon and Daniel Bicknase.

Mr. Craddock served in the USAF in England during the Korean Conflict and earned the rank of Personnel Sergeant. He was an Insurance Underwriter for Maryland Casualty, Commercial Union and The Hartford Company and after retiring from insurance he was a Machine Operator Supervisor for Rexam. Bob enjoyed to travel, fishing, bowling and was even on the bowling team with his company, collecting coins and reading the Bible and Reader's Digest. Bob is a graduate of the former Central High School of Charlotte and attended Mars Hill College afterward.

Funeral service will be 2:00pm Saturday, July 6, 2019 in the sanctuary of Ebenezer Truelight Church; 1024 Walters Mill Rd. Monroe, NC. The family will gather to receive friends from 1:00pm - 1:50pm prior to the service in the Church. Burial will follow the service in the Walters Cemetery.
