Patrick "Rick" Charles Mooney

Mr. Patrick "Rick" Charles Mooney, 44, of Wingate, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2019 at his residence. Rick was born October 10, 1974 in Madison, Ohio to Dennis Mooney and Janet Graves Webster. 

Rick was preceded in death by his grandparents Vernon and Leona Graves, and William and Matilda Mooney; and uncle Timothy Mooney.

He was known for his big heart, he would give the shirt off his back and even took people into his home while they got back on their feet. He was the owner and operator of Mooney's Construction where he refurbished homes, including his own. He was well loved by his friends and family and was an animal lover.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents Dennis Mooney of Painesville, OH and Janet Webster (Dennis) of Monroe, NC; sister Michelle Velten (Bob White); nephews Tanner Velten and Ryan Velten and niece Karley Velten. 

Funeral Service will be 2:00pm Friday, July 19, 2019 in the Good Shepherd Chapel of Life and Legacy Funerals and Cremations, 6525 Old Monroe Rd, Indian Trail with Dr. Chris Baucom officiating. The family will receive friends 1:00-1:50 pm prior to the service.
