Pasqualina Cassandra Nocella

Mrs. Pasqualina "Pauline" Cassandra Nocella, 94, of Stallings went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at her residence. She was born October 12, 1925 to Michel Cassandra and Carmela Guacci Cassandra. She married Francesco "Frank" Nocella April 3, 1948. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and siblings Felicia Krauss, Lena Farasciano, Rocco Cassandra and Vincenza "Vinnie" Cassandra. 

Mrs. Nocella made the decision to move to North Carolina in September of 2015 and attended Matthews Church of God. She was a very talented sewer and knitter, she would make clothes for her daughters and even won awards for a coat she made. She was a great cook and was active in the community as well as her church. She was a member of the Cancer Society and the Republican Club and other community organizations. She loved to dance with Mr. Nocella and would count out the steps as they danced. 

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Cassandra Jean Mellen (Laurence) of Stallings and Claudia Mae Monroe (Ron) of Williamsburg, VA; grandsons Frank Mellon (Danielle), Jonathan Mellen, Andrew Mellon, Ronald Monroe, and Daniel Monroe (Lauren) and great grandsons Janemarie Hollywood, Caitlyn Hollywood, Damion Mellen, Sadie Mellen and Nicholas Monroe.

Funeral service will be Saturday, December 21, 2019 in the Good Shepherd Chapel of Life and Legacy Funerals and Cremations; 6525 Old Monroe Rd, Indian Trail, with Bishop Rick D. Brackett officiating. The family will receive friends 1:00-1:50pm prior to the service. Burial will be in the Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury, NY.
