Kenneth Carl Medlin

Mr. Kenneth Carl Medlin, 73, of Waxhaw, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at his residence. Ken was born December 14, 1946 to Carl and Lucille Medlin in Greenville, SC. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife Brenda Outez Medlin.

Mr. Medlin was a member of First Baptist Church of Indian Trail. He enjoyed riding motorcycles along with building and flying R/C airplanes. He was a fixer, if he couldn't fix it, it couldn't be fixed. Ken had a "Family First" philosophy and spent his time helping others. He was loved by his family and friends.

Those to cherish his memory are his children Robert Medlin (Margaret) and Candice Black; grandchildren Brian Medlin, Tyler Medlin, Joseph Edmundson (Rachel), Jennifer Cherry (Tim) and Elizabeth Medlin; great grandchildren Scott Cherry (Genevieve), Hunter Cherry, Starr Cherry, Trevor Cherry, McKenzie Cherry, Seanna Medlin, Kayleigh Medlin, Tilly Edmundson; sisters Cathy Sutherland (Bernie), Marilyn Seay (Mickey) and Caryn Cole; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service will be 3:00pm Saturday, January 11, 2020 in the Good Shepherd Chapel of Life and Legacy Funerals and Cremations; 6525 Old Monroe Rd., Indian Trail. The family will receive friends 2:00-2:50pm prior to the service.
