Kalanikai Siu Lopaka Kiaha

Mr. Kalanikai "Kai" Siu Lopaka Kiaha, 21, of Charlotte died Sunday, November 10, 2018 in Charlotte. Kai was born April 3,1997 to Randy Tome and Cheryl Hunt Kiaha. Kai was an Arborist with The Davey Tree Expert Company. Kai was beloved son, brother, nephew, grandson and especially a friend.

Kai was preceded in death by his father Randy. Cherishing his memory are his mother Cheryl; his sisters Ashley Rae Ku'ulei, Alexis Lehuanani Salavao (Fiance' Justin Johnson), and Randie Alapa'i Monta Kiaha, brothers No'a Greyson Lanakila Kiaha and Walter Gage Connor; Grandparents Dale and Jean Hunt, uncle Rick Hunt (Irene) , aunt Brianna Burns (Bobby), uncle Rod Kiaha (Pearl) aunty Lei (Vico) and their children.

Kai was an avid Carolina Panthers fan, he loved playing volleyball and played rugby at Providence High School. Kai was a kind young man who dreamed big and loved his family fiercely. He enjoyed dancing, and loved to be the center of attention.  Kai was known for his BIG smile and BIG hugs, he always told you he loved you before leaving and his friends new they could always rely on him during their tough times.

Service to Celebrate Kai's life will be 11:00am Tuesday, November 20, 2018 in the Sanctuary of First Baptist Church, 732 Indian Trail Fairview Rd, Indian Trail, NC 28079 with Preacher Mike Whitson officiating. Burial will follow in the New Covenant Baptist Church Cemetery (Former Hardis Grove Baptist Church Cemetery) on 5524 Golden Pond Rd. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00pm Monday, November 19, 2018 in the Good Shepard Chapel of Life and Legacy Funerals and Cremations, 6525 Old Monroe Rd, Indian Trail, NC 28079.
