Joseph Carmon Greene

Mr. Joseph Carmon Greene passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2019 in the Novant Health Matthews Medical Center. He was born November 7, 1938 in Charlotte to Carmon and Elizabeth Reed Greene. On June 10, 1961 he married Anne Elder who passed away October 25, 2017. His parents preceded him in death as well.

Jospeh was a fun loving father, grand father and great grandfather; he took great pride in his family sharing stories with friends and acquaintances of his family. He had a good sense of humor that kept people smiling and laughing. He loved watching Netflix movies and shows along with reading books on his Kindle. Hobbies include fishing and football. While staying at his beach home in Garden City he would ride his golf cart around the neighborhood speaking to all he would see. He enjoyed attending the Beach Church Services while there as well. While in Indian Trail he loved getting together with the "Bonterra Boys" for coffee. Mr. Greene served in the US Army in his early years. He retired working as a Credit Analyst for local banks.

His memory will be cherished by his children David Carmon Greene (Kelly), Joanna Greene, and Joseph Andrew "Andy" Greene (Jenny); grandchildren Set Greene, Josh Greene, Kasey Adams, Jamie Stewart (Heath), Christopher Beckerich and Carter Greene; great grandson Nolan Stewart and his brother Larry Greene (Bobbie).

The family will celebrate Mr. Greene's life during Sunday dinners and other get togethers.
