John Ross Cuiper

Mr. John Ross Cuiper, 76, of Matthews passed away Thursday, August 22, 2019 at his residence. Ross was born June 24, 1943 in Corpus Christi, TX to John W and Dorothy Adkins Cuiper. He obtained his Bachelor's of Science degree from Texas A&M in Industrial Engineering. He married the former Carol J Peet and they celebrated their 47 year anniversary together. He was preceded in death by his parents. 

Mr. Cuiper was smart, hardworking, and a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He enjoyed working around the house, repairing anything and everything. He even had a sign in the garage that stated "If I can't fix it, it ain't broke". Truly a selfless man who put others before himself. He worked for IBM as a Mechanical Engineer for 30 years before retiring.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Carol Cuiper of the home; children Leslie Spraggins, Jeffrey Cuiper, Keith Cuiper and Danielle Turner; brother Glenn Cuiper (Nancy); son in law Scott Bridgeman; step-sisters Karen Urban and Leslie Adams granddaughters Riley Turner and Kaitlyn Turner and stepmother Evelyn Cuiper and his beloved Cavachon Maggie who never left his side.

A Memorial Service will be 6:00PM Tuesday, September 10, 2019 in the Good Shepherd Chapel of Life and Legacy Funerals and Cremations; 6525 Old Monroe Rd, Indian Trail, with Hospice Chaplain Michael Flynn officiating.
