Jarrod Allen Baucom

Mr. Jarrod Allen "Hoyt" Baucom, 46, of Monroe, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2020 in Anson County. Jarrod was born April 16, 1973 to Nelson E. Calderon and Lynda Buford in Monroe. On May 25, 2002 he married Amanda "Mandy" Baucom. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents José and Haydee Calderon and maternal grandmother Audrey Gurley. 

Jarrod was a wonderful and loving husband to Mandy and a loving father to his children Ryder and Audrey. He was a hard worker, very giving and a selfless man. He was joyful and would make funny or inappropriate remarks to help with awkward situations. In addition to his family and friends, he loved NC State sports, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, hunting and Cajun Filet biscuits from BoJangles. He was the first to say "I Love You" and the last one to let go when giving a hug. He was well loved by his many friends, he would easily draw a crowd with his personality. 

To cherish his memory; his loving wife Mandy; children Ryder Baucom and Audrey Baucom; father Nelson Calderon; his mother Lynda Buford; sisters Lisa Phifer, Haydee Calderon and Laura Stikeleather (Jay); father in law James "Jimmy" Threatt; mother in law Kathy Davis (D.A.) and 10 nieces and nephews. 

Funeral service will be 7:00pm Tuesday, January 7, 2020 in the sanctuary of West Monroe Baptist Church; 1212 Icemorlee St, Monroe; with the Reverend Jay Stikeleather officiating. The family will receive friends 5:00-6:50pm prior to the service. Burial will be private in Lakeland Memorial Park.
