James “Jim” Richard Monroe, 53, of Dublin died Saturday, September 7, 2019 in Charlotte, NC.

He was born April 18, 1966 in Shelby to Joe and Mary Eckelberry Monroe. On June 20, 2019, he married Gary Till. He survives.

Jim was a 1985 graduate of Wooster High School and a 1989 graduate of Kent State University. He had been a flight attendant for Delta for over 30 years. Jim was a member of the Moose Lodge and enjoyed travelling, his dogs, music, cars, gardening and collecting t-shirts.

Along with his husband, Jim is survived by his mother of Dublin; a brother John Monroe (Katie); a sister Meredith Monroe (Dan); nieces and nephews Derek (Dianna), Joshua (Emily), Drew (Megan), Alison, Rachel and Justin Monroe along with 3 great nieces and nephews.

Jim was preceded in death by his father.

Friends will be received one hour prior to the 1:00 PM service on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster. Entombment will be in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
