Frances Mae (Murr) Williams

Frances Mae (Murr) Williams, 87, passed away on November 13, 2018 in Waxhaw, NC. 

Frances was born September 24, 1931 in Greenville, SC to the late Walter Murr and Melda Blackwell Murr.  Living in Matthews for the past 25 years, she served in the Preschool department at Metrolina Christian Academy.  Frances was known as “Grandma” to the students and all that knew her.

Grandma is survived by her daughter Kathy Whitson (Preacher Mike) of Matthews, NC; grandson Kevin Whitson (Bethany) of Anthem, AZ; granddaughter Andrea Bradley (Lance) of Monroe, NC; great-grandsons Cameron and Casey Whitson of Anthem, AZ; great-granddaughters Karis and Kayden Bradley of Monroe, NC and Kaylie Whitson of Anthem, AZ; and her sister Louise Bowling (Larry) of Easley, SC.

In addition to her parents, Grandma is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years Kenneth Charles Williams and her sister Margaret Styles.

The family will receive friends 9:30am Saturday, November 17, 2018 in the Sanctuary of First Baptist Church Indian Trail, 732 Indian Trail Fairview Road.  Funeral Service will follow 11:00am with Preacher Mike Whitson, Lance Bradley and Kevin Whitson officiating.  A Graveside service will be 3:30pm Saturday November 17, 2018 Mountainview Memorial Park in Travelers Rest, SC.
