Elmo Batten, Jr Obituary
Mr. Elmo Enyart Batten, Jr, 82, of Monroe, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2019 in the Presbyterian Main Hospital in Charlotte. Mr. Batten was born September 26, 1936 to Elmo Enyart Batten, Sr. and Winona May Coonis in Bakersfield, CA. Mr. Batten served in the United States Army. He retired from PepsiCo and was a member of the Pepsi Cola Collectors Club and attended Stephenson Presbyterian Church.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Robin Lee Campbell Batten; sons Joel Tracy Batten of Monroe and Eric Garner Batten (Cathleen) of Stallings; two granddaughters Shannon Batten and Erica Batten.
Service will be 2:00pm Thursday, August 8 in the sanctuary of Stephenson Presbyterian Church; 4224 N. Rocky River Rd, Monroe; with Pastor Valerie Phillips officiating. The family will receive friends 1:00pm-1:50pm prior to the service.
