Donald Charles Tarleton

Mr. Donald Charles Tarleton, 72, of Monroe, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2019 in the Novant Health Matthews Medical Center. He was born November 8, 1946 to Charles and Helen Tarleton in Hendersonville, NC. He was retired from the United States Coast Guard. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Don loved to read Stephen King, James Patterson and Tom Clancy novels. He was an avid Atlanta Braves and Carolina Panthers fan. He was loving father and a true family man with a whity sense of humor and loved to tell cheesy jokes.

Left to cherish his memory are his children Casandra "Sandy" Tarleton, Brandon Tarleton, Gabriella "Nikki" Tarleton (Brandon Thompson), and Tessa Tarleton; also is brother Bob Tarleton (Penny) and he beloved cat, Dragon.

Funeral Service will be 10:30AM Wednesday, October 16, 2019 in the Good Shepherd Chapel of Life and Legacy Funerals and Cremations; 6525 Old Monroe Rd, Indian Trail. The family will gather to receive friends 9:30-10:20AM prior to the service.
