Mrs. Carol Otis Williams Lowery, 74, of Charlotte, passed away October 15, 2019 at her residence. She was born May 3, 1945 in Lexington, KY to James Williams and Lou Ann Plowman. She later married Paul David Lowery, who passed away April 5, 2009. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents; brother Tommy Williams and Sister Linda David.
Mrs. Lowery loved her family very dearly, she enjoyed spending time with her siblings, children and grandchildren. Shopping was her forte'! She shopped for everyone except herself! She enjoyed working in the yard, planting flowers, going fishing with her husband and liked to dance; she even taught her girls how to "Jitter Bug". Mrs. Lowery had an extensive collection of babydoll and bells.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Michelle Williams, Tina Williams and Sherry Williams (Matthew Hall); grandchildren Chelsia Basaldua (Joshua Franklin), Austin Williams, Joshua Williams, Zaida Hall, Zoey Hall; great grandchildren Caleb Franklin, Sophia Franklin, David Franklin, Maddie Williams and Rainey Daugherty; siblings James Williams, Margaret Edmands, Kathy Maxwell (Melvin), Lucian Williams (Anita), Robert Guess (Clarence), Gary Guess (Jeannie), Roger Guess (Shannon) and Melissa Davis.
Funeral Service will be 1:00pm Saturday, October 19, 2019 in the Good Shepherd Chapel of Life and Legacy Funerals and Cremations; 6525 Old Monroe Rd, Indian Trail; with Dr. Chris Baucom officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Lakeland Memorial Park Cemetery of Monroe. A horse drawn carriage will carry her body thru the cemetery to her place of rest. The family will gather to receive friends 6:00-8:00pm Friday, October 18, 2019 at the Funeral Home.
